Chest pain when coughing

Chest pain accompanying when coughing can occur because too severe coughing can cause muscle to contract too much causing pain. Other diagnosis included costochonditis (which could be associated with coughin too heavily)/pneumonia/pleuritis/ or heart problem.

I suggest if you have cough a lot or cough up blood with significant chest pain pls. go see doctor right away.

As for now, you can rest and drink lots of water. Anti-cough medication is also suggested.
